From the Vault: A Vancouver Classic by Images in Vogue

It always pays to know your history. With that in mind, every Saturday From the Vault brings you a classic music video by a Vancouver artist.

New-wave synth-pop outfit Images in Vogue was, for a brief moment, the hottest band in town, scoring radio hits and even landing the opening slot on a Duran Duran tour at the height of the English act's pastel-blazered fame.

Several of IIV's members and associates went on to other successful ventures: drummer Kevin Crompton (aka cEvin Key) and recording engineer Dave Ogilvie became better known for their association with Skinny Puppy, and manager Kim Clarke Champniss went on to be a Much Music VJ.

Images in Vogue disbanded in 1991, but we'll always have the video for "Call It Love", in which singer Dale Martindale rocks a Robert Smith hairdo and engages in what might be the most totally '80s dancing ever captured on tape.
