Last night, nine-year-old actor Jacob Tremblay took home the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Young Actor/Actress for his role in the Canadian-Irish drama, Room.

The Vancouver-born youngster then proceeded to steal the hearts of everyone in attendance, announcing on-stage that this was “the best day of [his] life.”

The adorableness continued as he earnestly thanked the critics while acknowledging the amazing talent he was up against.

“I first want to say thank you to all the critics who voted for me,” he said. “It must be a super hard vote because of all the other great actors in this category.”

The star-studded audience had practically melted into a pile of goo at this point, but Tremblay went on, thanking the team behind Room as well as his parents, stating, “I love them very much.”

Grinning from ear to ear, Tremblay then offered one last bit about where he’ll be showcasing his new trophy:

“I know where to put this. Right on the shelf right beside my Millennium Falcon.”

      Cue the awwws.
