After several months since the first teaser trailer, 20th Century Fox has finally released the full trailer for The Dawn of the Planet of the Apes.

The film picks up after Rise of the Planet of the Apes (the first of the reboot series), in which a scientist (James Franco) boosts the intelligence of a laboratory chimp during drug testing.

Dawn, directed by Matt Reeves, takes place several years after Rise, where apes have taken over the world, destroying human civilization, and only a small number of human survivors remain. Among the humans are characters played by Jason Clarke, Gary Oldman, and Keri Russell.

Conflict between the humans and the genetically modified apes, led by Caesar (Andy Serkis), leading to what looks like an all-out war.

If some of the scenery looks familiar, that's because it was partially filmed here in Vancouver.

The film is scheduled for release on July 11.
