Cops and doughnuts: the truth is out there

    1 of 1 2 of 1

There is often truth in stereotypes and cliches, and the old chestnut about cops and doughnut shops seems to have been proven by this scene outside a Tim Hortons outlet Monday night around 10:30 p.m. (Apologies for the phone-pic quality.)

No fewer than eight Vancouver police motorcycles were parked in a neat row outside the all-night fast-food joint at the corner of Broadway and Fir Street, with their riders' brain buckets perched jauntily atop their steeds, Hell's Angels-style.

After all, who's going to mess with 'em?
