Who Did Your Ink? is the Straight’s weekly feature, where we ask badass Vancouverites about the talented artists, indelible stories, and, at times, questionable antics behind their most treasured tattoos.

What’s your name? Sarah Band.

Who did your ink? A man by the name of Dejan Furlan at Adrenaline on Granville Street.

Why did you choose this artist to do your tattoo? I didn't really choose him—he was kind of given to me. I am really good at getting tattoos at the last minute, so he was the first guy who was available and I'm really happy with the end result. 

Is there any meaning behind it? I really like grilled cheese sandwiches; it’s my absolute favourite food. If I could eat it every day, I would. 

Who’s your favourite local tattoo artist? It has been quite a while since I have had a tattoo done. I feel that tattoos and tattoo artists have changed so much even in the last couple of years that I couldn't say who my favourite artist is.

What’s next on your ink list? I'd like to work on getting a half sleeve done, dedicated to all food that I love.
