Felindr Cat of the Week: Natalia the ballerina

    1 of 4 2 of 4

Welcome to Felindr, the Georgia Straight's feline adoption web feature.

Each profile is of an eligible catchelor or catchelorette from VOKRA, the non-profit Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association dedicated to the rescue of cats in the Lower Mainland.

      Name: Natalia

      Profession: ballerina

      I'm seeking: a ballet partner

Physical description: dainty and graceful with an imaginary tutu

Ethnicity: Russian (because I'm always Russian around)

      Want kids? If they're older.

      Smoke: Pish.

Faith: I believe in the power of interpretive dance.

Drink: Only sophisticated beverages. Like water.

Natalia knows how to elegantly navigate complex obstacles, particularly when searching for food.

My conversational interests: ballet, breakfast, saying thank you, Mikhail Nikolayevich Baryshnikov

My purrsonality: I channel Greta Garbo

My hobbies: being read Giller Prize–nominated authors, working on my Master degree in String Toy Studies, and—of course—dance, dance, dance

My likes: stomach massages, pirouettes, Cats the Musical

My dislikes: trashy felines like The Real Alleycats of Vancouver

As cultured and sophisticated as Natalia is, there are photos that have surfaced on the internet that reveal a different side of her.

My expectations of a relationship: I envision it as a kind of pas de deux, so to speak, although an ensemble performance would be welcome as well.

Update: *It's a match!* Someone swiped right on Natalia's profile and she is dancing with a new ballet partner as we speak. However, there are many more eligible catcherlors and catchlorettes to consider at VOKRA's website.

VOKRA's mission is to end cat overpopulation and homelessness. To learn more, or to fill out an adoption application form, visit their website.
