The Georgia Straight proudly sponsors the Festival d’été Francophone de Vancouver’s Air Canada gala evening

The 25^th annual Festival d’été Francophone de Vancouver’s Air Canada gala evening takes place June 21 at 7 p.m. at the Air Canada Stage (West 7^th Avenue between Granville and Fir Streets).

This year’s show will open with the sunny Caribbean sounds of La Compagnie Créole. The popular French band from French Guiana and the French West Indies has garnered international acclaim over several decades, including 17 gold and platinum albums and numerous Félix awards.

Also performing is Alexandre Désilets, whose album Fancy Ghetto was released in early 2014. The pop singer-songwriter accompanied by four musicians lights up the stage with his raw and authentic energy.
