“One Adam 12. One Adam 12. Be on the lookout for a young Caucasian girl, age 13; brownish red, curly hair; 159 centimetres. Wearing a blue and white gingham dress with ruby red slippers. Probably traveling in the company of a small black dog. She should be considered shod and dangerous.”

Elphaba Thropp, the one-time Wicked Witch of the West, has lived in Los Angeles, California, for many years now, to be, as she put it, “close to my fans”.

She has been in Vancouver, B.C. since May 28, starring in the stage musical Wicked at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre.

No word on how this will affect the performances which are scheduled to run until June 29.

Vancouver police are rounding up suspects but it’s unclear at this point if the Ozian-American met with foul play or just forgot to take her umbrella.

Stanley Q. Woodvine is a homeless resident of Vancouver who has worked in the past as an illustrator, graphic designer, and writer.
