LGBT erotic literary writing group Queerwritica wants you to come

If you've ever wanted to write the Tom of Finland version of Fifty Shades of Grey, or just want to write about queer sex, then there's a group for you. (Sorry, there's no word on whether there's an app for you yet.)

Queerwritica is a new writing group for LGBT people of all genders, sexual orientations, and relationships. As the organizers put it, "From dried up to dripping wet, all levels of moistness are wanted." (In other words, everyone from the asexual to the hypersexual are welcome. So there you go.)

Participants will have an opportunity to write and receive feedback on their work, and the structure will be determined in part by participants.

It's run by Monica Meneghetti, an editor, writer, and graduate of the UBC Creative Writing MFA program.

The group will meet on the first Tuesday of every month at the Roundhouse Community Arts and Recreation Centre (181 Roundhouse Mews).

The first session will be held on May 3 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

      It's free to attend.

The group will also hold quarterly readings, as fundraisers for Pride in Art Society, which runs the annual Queer Arts Festival.
