Stephen King tweets praise for horror flick Hush, compares it to Wait Until Dark

There's nothing the publishers of a new horror novel hope for more than a recommendation from Stephen King. Even a lackadaisical book-cover blurb like "Not too shabby, kinda scary!" would boost sales if it came from the legendary Maine man.

The power of King's pronouncements also carry a lot of weight in the movie world. That's why the producers of the new horror flick Hush were no doubt tickled damn near to death when the fearmaster tweeted this message to his 1.48-million followers yesterday:

"How good is HUSH? Up there with HALLOWEEN and--even more--WAIT UNTIL DARK. White knuckle time. On Netflix."

The Blumhouse Productions film--which has so far garnered an uber-fresh rating of 100% after 11 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes--is also streaming on Netflix Canada.

Any time a terror expert like King favourably compares a movie to Terence Young's masterful 1967 shocker you've got to take it seriously.

I know what I'm doing tonight!

      Or on the weekend, maybe.

      Sometime soon, at least.
