      Ensemble Theatre Company presents John Webster’s The Duchess of Malfi at the Jericho Arts Centre (1675 Discovery Street) this summer. The preview performance of The Duchess of Malfi is on July 8, and the show will be running in repertory with The Cripple of Inishmaan and The Normal Heart until August 15.

      The Duchess of Malfi is a macabre Jacobean tragedy that deals with jealousy, madness, and murder. The play tells the story of Giovanna d’Aragon, a young widow who secretly marries her steward, earning her brothers’ wrath. When the brothers discover her secret, they enact a terrible revenge.

      Ensemble Theatre Company’s production stars Alison Raine in the title role, with Sean Allan, Matthew Beairsto, Adam Beauchesne, Adam Berquist, Masae Day, James Gill, Erik Gow, Paul Herbert, Kazz Leskard, Mark Manning, Kaylin Metchie, Daniel Meron, Zac Scott, and Troy Anthony Young.

      Tickets to The Duchess of Malfi are $25 for adults and $20 for students and seniors. Tickets can be purchased online in advance.
