Felindr Cat of the Week: Chrissy the conversationalist (and motivational speaker)

    1 of 3 2 of 3

Welcome to Felindr, the Georgia Straight's feline adoption web feature.

Each profile is of an eligible catchelor or catchelorette from VOKRA, the non-profit Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association dedicated to the rescue of cats in the Lower Mainland.

      Name: Chrissy the conversationalist

Profession: I’m an inspirational and motivational speaker, as well as a meow show host, who regularly books speaking engagements with both cats and humans. Want to adopt me? YOU CAN DO IT! GO FOR IT! YOU ARE PURRFECT JUST THE WAY YOU ARE! MOL! (Meow out loud!)

I'm seeking: someone who can carry a conversation (and even if you can’t, I will)

Physical description: I’m a big, big girl in a big, big world. People say I’m large for their laps but really, I’m just big boned. MOL! But they still put me on a diet. WTM? (What the meow?)

      Ethnicity: Caterwaulian

Want kids? That’s up for discussion. Let's talk!

Smoke: How does anyone have time for smoking when there’s so much to talk about?

Drink: Yes, all this talking makes me thirsty for a tall bowl of water.

Faith: I totally believe in talk therapy. And I even enjoy Catfession at church even though I'm not religious.

My conversational interests: Oh, where to start? Do you have a few hours?

On today's meow show, our guests will include comedian Katty Griffin, reality show star Kim Katdashian, and pop star Mariah Catey.

My purrsonality: I’m definitely a chatty Catty (not to be confused with chatty Cathy, who is a friend of mine). I’m also really, really friendly. I like meeting new people and new animals and everything. Hi!

My hobbies: Sleeping—anytime! In fact, sometimes I get so worn out from sleeping that I have to take a nap. MOL!

My likes: Sunbeams—YAY! Head scratches—SUPER YAY! Being fed—MAJOR MEOW! Conversations—don't get me started. Okay, you just did! Call me!

My dislikes: Hmm, good question. People might think I dislike silence but I don't mind it at all. I just talk to the voices in my head. MOL! Kidding!

Although sometimes I fall asleep after talking too much, I'm always surprised when I wake up to find out I've been employed as a door stopper.

My motto: Let’s talk it out!

My expectations of a relationship: Well, as much as I like to talk, I'm good at being on my own. Believe it or not, I actually don't mind the company of dogs either! OMD! (Oh my dog!) Other cats are fine too. The truth is, though, neither cats nor dogs are very good conversationalists, in comparison to humans. However, we can always chat about it over a cattaccino?
