Felindr Kittens of the Week: Mavis and Little Panda, the happy homemakers (and professional nappers)

    1 of 5 2 of 5

Welcome to Felindr, the Georgia Straight's feline adoption web feature.

Each profile is of an eligible catchelor or catchelorette from VOKRA, the non-profit Vancouver Orphan Kitten Rescue Association dedicated to the rescue of cats in the Lower Mainland.

      Names: Mavis and Little Panda

Profession: happy homemakers (and professional nappers)

We’re seeking: a home to happify with our devoted presence

Physical description: happily black and white (although we do recognize and embrace all shades of grey and the colours of the rainbow because we are progressive and inclusive)

Ethnicity: Little Panda is a transspecies animal—a little panda born in the body of kitten. Mavis isn’t, but sometimes says she is just to be in solidarity with her sister

Want kids? We’re too young to be thinking about stuff like that. Ask us when we’re older.

Smoke: We were told to just say no.

Drink: Um, we’re not of legal drinking age yet (we’re only nine months old!)

Faith: We believe there’s a forever home somewhere over the rainbow for us...

Our purrsonalities: Mavis is energetic, loving, and devoted to taking care of her sister while Little Panda is calm, curious, and considerate. And we are both happy. And we want you to be too!

Our conversational interests: What are you doing? Where are you going? Can we come with you? Can we make you some tea and scones? Can we go have a nap with you?

Little Panda thinks that whoever designed these purrfect sleeping containers is a genius.

Our hobbies: kissing you, playing, following you around, greeting you with cookies and milk, snuggling close to you while discussing the travails of your day, napping, sleeping, dozing, rest breaks from all that exhausting sleeping (filling out this profile is tiring so we have to go lie down)

Our likes: for Little Panda, it’s belly rubs while for Mavis, it’s giving Little Panda cat baths every evening (it’s important to stay clean after being busy cleaning up your home)

"Hey, Little Panda, it's time for your nightly cat bath. Are you ready? Did you fall asleep already? Little Panda? Little...zzzzzzz..."

      Our dislikes: being alone

Our motto: Why have one happy cat when you can have two? Or ten?

Our expectations of a relationship: to cook, clean, and make your home the happy place it was always meant to be (after we have our nap)

Sometimes Little Panda and Mavis get exhausted from sleeping all day so they have to take a nap.
