Kate Upton says she was ordered not to wear a Tigers hat and jersey in Yankee Stadium

American supermodel Kate Upton is best known for appearing on the cover of many magazines, including the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue, Vogue, and Vanity Fair.

That has led to other opportunities in the media, including filling in for Kelly Ripa on Friday (August 8) on Live with Kelly and Michael.

Upton's boyfriend, Justin Verlander, is a star pitcher for the Detroit Tigers.

As a New Yorker, she confessed on the show, "I'm sleeping with the enemy."

But things got a little surreal when one of the New York baseball teams imposed a dress code on her when she attends the games.

"The Yankees told me, 'You're not allowed to wear a Tigers hat, you're not allowed to wear any Tigers gear'," Upton said.

She should be gratified that she doesn't live in Vancouver, where Bruins forward Milan Lucic's parents and grandparents were hassled by fans at Rogers Arena for cheering the visiting team. Later, the church that the family attends in East Vancouver was vandalized.
