Have you seen this parakeet? Richmond RCMP looking for birdnapper

Sky is described as a one-year-old male, 18 to 20 inches long, with a "lengthy tail". He is "sweet and friendly", has a metal ringband on his leg, and is valued at $700.

If you've seen Sky, Richmond RCMP wants to hear from you. Sky is a Indian ringneck parakeet, and he was stolen from a pet store.

In a news release, the police force states:

On August 10th, 2014, a man walked into Ackroyd Pets and Aquariums in Richmond BC, grabbed a male Parakeet named Sky, stuffed him into a black shopping bag, then ran out of the store.

Police describe the suspect as a "Caucasian male, 35-40 years old, approximately 5'10", heavy build with dark hair and glasses and was wearing a blue and white striped dress shirt, jean shorts, and black sandals".

By the way, the B.C. SPCA says the "sale of animals through pet stores is fraught with problems".
