      The Mosaic Music Series at the Fair at the PNE starts Saturday (August 16) and runs until the Fair’s closure on September 1. The live musical performances take place nightly at the Chevrolet Performance Stage.

      The Mosaic Music Series features local, cultural, and iconic acts, including Dal Richards, Spirit of the West, Hey Ocean!, and more.

      Local legend Dal Richards with guest Michael Kaeshammer will kick off the series on August 16. Enjoy tunes from the big-band era, as well as jazz, rock, and pop standards. The following day, Canadian country artist AJ Woodworth will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. and roots group The Matinée will keep the partying going with their set at 9 p.m.

      On August 19, Babe Gurr—best known for her blend of roots, blues, world, and pop music—will enchant audiences starting at 7:30 p.m. The Paperboys will follow at 9 p.m. The Canadian group harnesses a unique sound by fusing folk, Celtic, bluegrass, pop, and rock together.

      Abbotsford singer-songwriter and dancer Victoria Duffield performs August 20, along with singer-songwriter Andrew Allen. Dal Richards will return to the Mosaic Music Series stage on August 21 with guest Bria Skonberg. Another local legend, Red Robinson, will host a 50th anniversary Beatles tribute on August 22.

      East Vancouver-based world-music band The Boom Booms will get the crowd dancing with their performance on August 23, and Spirit of the West will keep the party going the following night. August 26 will see both Rykka—2013’s Peak Performance Project winner—and singer Raghav wow the crowd. Local favourite Hey Ocean! will bring their West Coast brand of pop power to the stage on August 27.

      Bands Bend Sinister and The Belle Game will have their turn on the Mosaic Music Series stage on August 28, and Prism will follow the next day. The final weekend of the festival will showcase singer-songwriter Alex Cuba on August 30, Delhi 2 Dublin on August 31, as well as Tom Lavin & the Legendary Powder Blues on September 1.

      Admission to the Mosaic Music Series is free with gate admission the Fair at the PNE. Fair gate passes are $16 for adults, $8 for seniors, and free for kids 13 years and under. Purchase your fair gate passes online in advance at a discounted rate.
