Sponsored by Vancouver Biennale, Brazilian artists Gustavo and Otavio Pandolfo known as OSGEMEOS (Portuguese for "The Twins") invited the public to the official unveiling of "Giants", their biggest public mural ever—a 360-degree, 23-metro-high public art project covering six Ocean concerts silos on Granville Island—on September 7.

UPI photographer Heinz Ruckemann was at the unveiling and provided the Straight with these photos from the event.

I find them juvenile and rather ugly. I've always thought that older industrial structures are often the most beautiful forms of architecture. Look for the photographs of Bernd and Hilla Becher to see what I mean

I find them epic and rather UNBELIEVABLE. Best art in Vancouver by a long shot!!! Love the colors. Industrial structures are typically the most ugly of all so they really did need to make them beautiful and fun for all ages.

Granville Island is a fantastic, eccentric, colorful, architectural place MADE for Vancouver Fashion Shoots for photographers and models alike! I look forward to seeing agency models have their face there....
