      Vendor Profile: The Farm House Natural Cheeses co-owned by Debra Amrein-Boyes.

      What do you sell? We make and sell farmstead artisan cheeses and dairy products, including fluid non-homogenized cow and goat milk, yogurt, quark, etc. All of our products are certified organic and grass-fed.

      How did you get into your business? We diversified our small family farm into value-added products in order to remain viable in a climate of increasingly industrialized agriculture.

      What’s your specialty? We are renowned for highest quality cheeses. However, both our Traditional Clothbound Cheddar and our Heidi (gruyere-style) cheeses have won national awards several years in a row.

      Favourite item you sell? We love all of our handmade cheeses and enjoy sharing the goodness with our customers.

      Favourite thing about the city’s farmers markets? The best thing about the city farmers markets is of course meeting the people who live there. A perfect farmers market comes to where the people live.
