The Vancouver Short Film Festival takes place at Vancity Theatre (1181 Seymour Street) from November 14 to 16.
The fifth annual Vancouver Short Film Festival features 17 new films and four web series showcasing talent from B.C.’s film industry. The festival will kick off with Small Screen Sensations, which focuses on B.C. web series.
Visually Effected on November 14 will include animated short Goodnight Sun, 2013 Whistler Film Festival winner Anxious Oswald Greene, and Malaise, which follows the escape of an unknown creature in the final moments of S. S. Carnicus.
Written in the Earth: Our Stories focuses on documentary short films, including Very Good Dirt and Little Moccasins. Transience: A Celebration of Life features Take Me Home, Dead Hearts, and In the Deep.
The final double screening on November 16 includes Through the Pane and Safar.
Tickets to screenings at the Vancouver Short Film Festival start at $11 and can be purchased online in advance.
