Saskatchewan-based News Talk 980 has reported that the former head coach of the SFU Clan football team is bound for Regina.

The Saskatchewan radio station cited unnamed sources saying Jacques Chapdelaine, a former Canadian Football League slotback, will become the Roughriders new offensive coordinator.

Chapdelaine was offensive coordinator of the B.C. Lions before taking over as head coach of the SFU Clan earlier this year. The Clan posted a 2-9 record as the only non-American team in the National Collegiate Athletic Association.

Meanwhile, SFU issued a news release today saying that Chapdelaine, an SFU grad, "is off to pursue other career options".

      Wonderful, just wonderful.

Not good enough for the lions so we take him.

It's gonna be a long year again.

Bad mistake. The CFL will be out of business within 5 years. Of the 8 teams, 2 are owned by the same individual who is trying to sell them both. NOBODY IS INTERESTED. And the fans aren't interested either. The CFL couldn't even sell out the Grey Cup. I just talked to a friend of mine this morning who told me that he had to beg people to take the $300 tickets he had. The players are so disinterested and undisciplined that 1 of every 13 plays this year resulted in a penalty. Most of them motion penalties - that's a serious lack of self discipline. And the game itself is realllly boring.

The SFU clan should hire Shawn Olson, he was railroaded out of UBC by some alumni after making the playoffs twice and having a QB win the Hec Crighton trophy.

Snoozer should wake up and smell the roses. CFL is a exciting brand of football. I guess he must like the NFL where their is only a few team one wants to watch. ie four downs running time small field
