Homeless in Vancouver: Clouds over Christmas crowds

    1 of 1 2 of 1

This afternoon I impeded the pedestrian traffic on the southeast corner of West Broadway and Alder Street in order to snap photos of the thick clouds apparently taking their ease on top of the North Shore of the Burrard Inlet.

A better photo would have been a long exposure showing the frantic foot traffic rushing around the solid obstacle I (and my bike and trailer) presented.

The clouds, being so far above the petty concerns of people, couldn’t have cared less that tomorrow was Christmas Day.

The people around me probably cared about little else; that was because, to get my photos, I had planted myself in the way of last-minute Christmas shoppers trying to get to and from the giant Toys R Us store on West Broadway.
