      From November 5 to 9, the Modulus Festival takes over various Vancouver venues.

      Presented by Music on Main, the event showcases the best of new and classical music through nine concerts and a large-scale community event.

      Music fans can take in highlights such as Steve Reich's Music for 18 Musicians, Tim Brady's 100 Very Good Reasons Why ____, and Music on Main composer in residence Nicole Lizée's La Callas Fantasie.

      Other performances include concerts by Turning Point Ensemble, the Bozzini Quartet and Rachel Iwaasa, and the Beledrone Ensemble.

      This year's event takes place at the Roundhouse Community Arts and Recreation Centre (181 Roundhouse Mews), Western Front (303 East 8th), and the Post at 750 (110-750 Hamilton).
