You've Got Craft: Pawllar keeps furry friends in style

    1 of 2 2 of 2

In anticipation of Got Craft?’s holiday edition, taking place from December 10 to 11 at the Pipe Shop Building (115 Victory Ship Way, North Vancouver), we’re getting to know some of the fair’s 80-plus independent designers and makers.

Today, we meet Alexandra Lorente and Juan Franzius, owners and designers at Pawllar.

      Who are you

We, Alexandra and Juan, are the owners of Pawllar. Between the two of us, we manage the whole operation from market research and product development to graphic design and production.

      What’s your shtick

We make handmade accessories for dogs. We started this company because we couldn’t find a collar that represented the personality of our dog, Lupita.

We decided to try and make one for her and, after that, started making collars for our friends’ dogs. We kept refining them until we finally made what we we had been looking for all along.

At Pawllar, our main goal is to make every product as fashionable, durable, and comfortable as possible. Because if you like to look in-style, why can’t your dog do the same?

We are inspired by the latest fashion trends when designing our patterns. We like having our collections up to date.

      Our ideal stocking stuffer

The perfect stocking stuffer would be one of our dog collars along with some organic treats and a squeaky toy for your favorite furry friend.

They’ll be able to have fun with a full belly while also looking very good and trendy!

      This year, we’re gifting…

We are gifting to our most loyal customers our latest product: the two-sided dog leash that matches with the collars we make.

These new leashes will capture the eye of everyone at the park and around the city due to their vibrant colour and modern design.

Tickets to Got Craft? are $3 in advance online or $5 at the door. For more information about the event, or to purchase tickets, click here.
