Permanent changes to bus routes include West End/Downtown and new Coquitlam service

      While the Evergreen Line is set to launch on December 2, there will also be a number of permanent changes to bus routes that will take effect on December 19.

      The changes will take place on the following bus routes:

      • West End and Downtown Vancouver (5/6/C21/C23)

      • Central Tri-Cities: 97 B-Line/160/190/C24/N9

      • 135 SFU/Burrard Station/160 Port Coquitlam Station/Kootenay Loop

      • Southwest Coquitlam: 143/151/153/157

      • Northeast Coquitlam and Port Coquitlam: 159/188/C37/C38/C40

      • 169 Braid Station/Coquitlam Central Station

      • Port Moody and North Coquitlam: 178/C25/C26/C27/C28/C29/C30

      • Anmore and Belcarra: C26

      • 191 Coquitlam Central Station/Princeton

      • 595 Langley Centre/Maple Meadows Station

      • West Coast Express TrainBus : 701

      Among all the changes, a new bus route in Coquitlam is being introduced.

      The No. 191 will provide service to the Burke Mountain neighbourhood and connect to the Evergreen Extension and West Coast Express.

      Meanwhile in downtown Vancouver, overhead trolley lines have been installed along Cambie Street to extend the routes of the No. 5 and 6 buses.

      The No. 6 Davie/Downtown route extends along Davie Street to Pacific Boulevard, and no longer travels along Granville Street.

      The C21 and C23 buses will converge into the No. 23 Main Street Station/Yaletown/Beach route. The C23 will no longer travel along Davie Street. Instead, it will travel along the C21 route, serving Beach Avenue, Yaletown-Roundhouse Station, Stadium-Chinatown Station, and Main Street-Science World Station.

      All seasonal school and university trips will be on hiatus for a two-week period beginning on December 19. School and university trips will resume during the first week of January.
