      It's official—Deadpool is a bonafide star.

Vancouver-born and –raised celebrity Ryan Reynolds attended the unveiling of his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on December 15, along with his wife, actor Blake Lively, and their two children; and his mother, brothers, and extended family.

Reynolds also received a Golden Globes nomination for best actor in a musical or comedy for Deadpool, which itself was nominated for best comedy or musical motion picture.

Deadpool was shot in Vancouver, which infused the British Columbian economy with a whopping $40 million.

A sequel to Deadpool, starring Reynolds, has been confirmed

Aside from that box-office blockbuster, Reynolds has starred in several other superhero films, including X-Men Origins: Wolverine, Blade: Trinity, and Green Lantern

Beyond comic book–inspired flicks, Reynolds has also headlined films such as The Amityville Horror, The Proposal, and Woman in Gold. He'll next be seen in the sci-fi thriller Life, alongside Jake Gylenhaal and Rebecca Ferguson, which is set for release in March.
