Vancouver asks where's the road salt? Coquitlam's Richard Stewart refuses to give up his stockpile

If you're one of those Vancouverites who's crying out for more road salt, you won't get a lot of sympathy from the King of the Northeast Sector.

Coquitlam mayor Richard Stewart has tweeted that he's not giving up any of his precious supply.

And if anyone thinks the Northeast Sector king is Port Coquitlam mayor and Metro Vancouver chair Greg Moore, keep in mind that his city's population is a mere 58,000.

More than double that number live in Coquitlam.

Vancouver was giving away road salt yesterday at 10 fire halls. But the supply quickly ran out.

The city promised more road salt would be available today to people who brought their own buckets.
