Coastal Jazz announces Winterruption concerts

      Coastal Jazz has just announced that it will be presenting a weekend of music from February 17 to 19 at Performance Works (1218 Cartwright, Granville Island) as part of Winterruption.

      The annual winter event celebrates the West Coast through music, arts, performance, and food.

      Vancouver funk-groove band Camaro 67 will be hitting the stage with guests Bigfate on February 17.

      On February 18, local clarinetist James Danderfer's Hummingbird Brigade will transport listeners with New Orleans and Chicago-style jazz.

      Canadian jazz-fusion ensemble the Robin Layne Band will take the stage on February 18 for two shows.

      On February 18, during two shows you can take in the sounds of Canadian jazz-blues band Blue Moon Marquee.

      Vancouver avant-pop ensemble Only a Visitor will play two shows to audiences on February 19.

      On February 19, local ensemble Rossi Gang performs two shows featuring their twist on New Orleans hot jazz.

      Tickets for all concerts go on sale this Friday (January 13) at 10 a.m. at Coastal Jazz.
