      What to expect: Once a month the Queer Prov troupe gets competitive with the Fruitbowl. Two teams will be PITTED against each other to win the coveted FRUIT CUP! The show is hosted by the Big Fruit himself Dan Dumsha (Dirty Little Secrets).       What to expect: The Fictionals and friends from Vancouver's spoken word scene celebrate the 21st Anniversary of National Poetry Month.       When and where: April 27-29 at PAL Theatre 7:30 p.m.
      What to expect: Giggles & Gags features original sketch comedy with a few twists on Vancouver’s pop culture, and humourous musical and magical interludes along the way. The show is rooted in trail blazing pioneers like Saturday Night Live and the old Carol Burnett Show. But most of all, Giggles & Gags is comedy for a cause. All net proceeds from the show go to the Alzheimer Society of BC. That means, by purchasing a ticket, you’ll be generating good karma with every laugh.

      The List: Stand Up and Improv

      When and where: April 28 at Little Mountain Gallery 7:30 p.m.
      What to expect: Join us for The List! A show where we combine the superb written fun of stand up comedy with the instant fun of improvisation. Each show features some of Vancouver’s top comedians performing comedic lists. Then, based on those lists the improvisors will serve up some hilarious scenes to keep the laughs coming. It's the show where the audience is always in on the joke.

      What to expect: Hocus Focus is a locally trained Improv group that leads an audience through an impromtu journey (made up on the spot). Through games like Kryptonite and Quilt, these ecclectic improvisors will give you a truly unforgetable performance.

      What to expect: 1994 was a big year for Vancouver. On a tiny stage in Gastown a band of Vancouver’s finest young comedic minds began to build what would become Instant Theatre Company: the home for alternative theatrical improv in Vancouver.
