FRIDAY: Canadian punk- and alt-rock legend Art Bergmann plays the Rickshaw Theatre, with guests Hunting.

FRIDAY: fundraising gospel concert at Surrey's Chandos Pattison Auditorium features music by Ron Kenoly, Tamara Kleinsasser, Theo Bessem, Pentab of B.C. Choir, Michelle Vanderhoef, Robyn St. Amand, Sue Penner, and Gabby Magna, with proceeds to Holy Seed International and Mercy Touch Mission International.

FRIDAY: local grind band Pest Synapse plays Pat's Pub & Brewhouse, with guests Svneatr, Technical Damage, and Tainted Soul.

FRIDAY: The Rogue Folk Club presents Brazilian-born vocalist Flávia Nascimento coheadlining St. James Hall with jazz-world composer and guitarist Itamar Erez.

SATURDAY: SoCal country singer-songwriter Sam Outlaw plays the Biltmore Cabaret.

SATURDAY: the Affordable Concert Series at the Rio Theatre features performances by Disco Funeral, Hard Rock Miners, Rio Samaya, and The Walk Ins.

SATURDAY: American rock band Black Marble plays the Astoria Pub, with guests Draa, Spectres, Weird Candle, and DJ Nikki Nevver.

SATURDAY: DJ Michael Laycock, DJ Nils, and percussionist Kurai Mubaiwa present a night of global grooves at the Backstage Lounge's Worldbeat Sessions.

SUNDAY: Swedish metal band Evergrey plays the Rickshaw, with guests Seven Kingdoms, Need, Ascendia, Celestial Ruin, and Elysium Echoes.

SUNDAY: celebration of 20 years of Nordic Trax at the Imperial features performances by DJs Mark Farina, Pete Moss, Jay Tripwire, Gavin Froome, krown & Lock, and Luke McKeehan.
