Who Did Your Ink? is the Straight’s weekly feature, where we ask badass Vancouverites about the talented artists, indelible stories, and, at times, questionable antics behind their most treasured tattoos.

      What's your name?  Danielle Mostert.

What do you do?  I'm a teacher.

Who did your ink?  The last artists who did my tattoos were Dejan Furlan and Frank Grimes.

Why did you choose these artist to do your tattoos?  I chose Frank because he had done work on my cousin and I am a big fan of his art. I chose Dejan because he specialized in the particular style I like, which is more traditional.

Is there any meaning behind them?  Honestly, I chose my tattoos based on what I like and what I want to have on my body for the rest of my life. Some of my tattoos have more meaning but I kind of see my tattoos as permanent jewellery that is really special to me.

Who's your favourite local tattoo artist?  Frank Grimes.

What's next on your ink list?  The possibilities are endless!
