Attention all die-hard Potterheads: UBC Library is trotting out some of its Harry Potter treasures for the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra concert this weekend.

Fans of the book series will be turning out in droves to watch the VSO play an entire live score to a screening of  Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.

But make sure to watch out for the folks from UBC's Rare Books and Special Collections department, which will be displaying a fitting array of antiquarian books featuring magical creatures and monsters, plus memorabilia, on loan from the MacDougall family, of B.C.'s Raincoast Books, the original Canadian publisher of Harry Potter.

UBC Library is collecting scarce first or special editions of Harry Potter books as a way to preserve the phenomenon in its original print form.

Meanwhile the VSO shows at the Orpheum continue tonight at 7 p.m. and tomorrow at 2 p.m.

And, not to get your hopes up, but do you remember the special guest who showed up to the last installment in the VSO's Harry Potter series (The Chamber of Secrets) ?
