Kendrick Lamar's DAMN. pop-up attracts lineup of hundreds in Vancouver's Chinatown

Kendrick Lamar isn't expected to take the stage at Rogers Arena until after 7:30 p.m. tonight (August 2), but hundreds of fans lined up as early as 4 a.m. in Chinatown for a chance to nab some of the rapper's merch.

Livestock (141 East Pender Street), where the DAMN. pop-up is taking place, shared a time-lapse video of the massive queue at 10 a.m., one hour before the store was set to open. The lineup appeared to wind down several blocks, with some customers toting blankets and foldable chairs.

Other tweets by fans suggest the line was long and grueling, with some waiting as many as six hours before entering the pop-up. Customers were eventually given a sheet outlining the DAMN.-branded merchandise available, such as T-shirts, hoodies, and caps, as well as their pricepoints (from $45).

Some are even saying that Lamar himself may appear at the pop-up sometime during the day.

Livestock notes that the DAMN. merchandise did not sell out at its Toronto stop a week earlier, though given the queue in Vancouver, we wouldn't suggest risking it.

Kendrick Lamar's DAMN. pop-up runs until 7 p.m. tonight (August 2) at Livestock. The shop is one of 17 locations that are operating for limited times across North America as part of the rapper's The DAMN. Tour, which supports his critically acclaimed album of the same name.
