Earthquake strikes off British Columbian coast near Haida Gwaii

      A 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck near Haida Gwaii on August 9 at 8:44 p.m.

      The epicentre was located offshore northwest of the village of Masset, B.C., at 54 degrees north, 134 degrees west at a depth of 21.3 kilometres, according to Earthquakes Canada.

      There were no reports of damage and no tsunami warning was issued.
