There will be less Chevron gas station to go and fill up in Vancouver.

Two Chevron stations in the city are closing this week.

The station at Oak Street and West 41st Avenue closed Wednesday (August 16), and the one at Cambie Street and West 16th Avenue will shut down Friday (August 18).

Chevron is also selling three other stations at Cambie Street and West 59th Avenue, Macdonald Street and West 4th Avenue, and Broadway and Alma Street.

The company closed three other gas stations in Vancouver last year.

In April, the U.S. oil company sold its gasoline stations in the Vancouver area and its refinery in Burnaby to Parkland Fuel for almost $1.5 billion.

As part of the deal, the Alberta-based Parkland Fuel will get 129 Chevron-branded gas stations.
