Juno Awards resurrect Comedy Album of the Year category after 33 years

      There has been a void in the Juno Awards presentation for comedy during the past 33 years. The ceremony, which recognizes excellence in the Canadian music industry, honoured comedy albums from 1979 to 1984, but then removed them for unknown reasons.

      This will change when the Juno Awards take place in Vancouver on March 24, 2018. The Best Comedy Album of the Year class will be making its illustrious return during that ceremony. The award is sponsored by SiriusXM Canada and will help promote and celebrate hardworking Canadian comedians on the big stage.

      Submissions for the prize open on October 2 at junoawards.ca.

      Some of Canada's top comedians, including Debra Digiovanni, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, and Brent Butt, got together to help spread the word about the Best Comedy Album of the Year's comeback. Check it out below:
