Chris & Travis bring their hilariously surreal two-man show to the Vancouver Fringe Festival

Mutiple pick-of-the-Fringe winner Travis Bernhatrdt and Chris Ross' show, Chris & Travis is improvised comedy performed entirely in an unrecognisable language made up on the spot.

Formed in 2015, Chris & Travis have been tearing up the improv scene. They have been selected for the 2017 Paper Street Improv Festival, the 2017 Play the Fool Festival, and the 2015 and 2016 Vancouver International Improv Festival. They are also winners of the 2016 Cagemach Tournament of Champions and Travis Bernhardt was voted Best Male Improviser, Local Ensemble, at the 2015 Vancouver International Improv Festival.

Back for the Vancouver Fringe Festival 2017, Chris & Travis aim to scribble outside the lines of improv comedy.

"When we're with improv comedians we tend to want more clown technique—more audience connection and play, more physicality," says Travis. "And when we're with clowns we want more improv technique, more story. This show we get to do our favourite things from both worlds. It's going to be high energy, hilarious, and fun. And weird."

Chris & Travis' extreme physicality, endearingly strange characters, and commitment to entertain by any means necessary have surprised and delighted audiences across Canada.

Chris & Travis will be at the Vancouver Fringe Festival running from September 7 to 17. And they will be hosting The Georgia Straight Fringe-for-All preview night on Wednesday, September 6 at 8 p.m. See the Fringe website for showtimes and tickets.
