It was a hip-hop down memory lane last night at the Pacific Coliseum.
Nasir Jones, a.k.a. Nas, and the first major female hip-hop superstar, Ms. Lauryn Hill, were there to close their Powernomics Tour in Vancouver last night.
Hill's had a somewhat checkered career, conquering the heights of the music world with her 1998 solo album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, and achieving many millions in record sales with the Fugees with Blunted on Reality and The Score.
She later disappeared from the public eye, ran into tax trouble, served a short prison sentence.
But she was back in fine form last night with hip-hop superstar Nas, who's recorded eight platinum and multi-platinum albums.
