Kiwi actor KJ Apa finds something to do in "kind of boring" Vancouver

      After calling Vancouver “kind of boring” during a visit to Live with Kelly and Ryan last week—and setting off a heated debate among Vancouverites about what the city has to offer in the process—it looks like Riverdale star KJ Apa has found a way to keep himself entertained around town. For one night, anyway.

      The 20-year-old actor, who plays Archie Andrews on the B.C.–filmed CW/Netflix adaptation of the Archie Comics, was invited onstage at the Railway Stage & Beer Café (579 Dunsmuir Street) on Saturday (October 14), where he played guitar alongside American blues-jazz musician Ron Artis II.

      Apa holds his own with Artis for the duration of the five-minute-plus performance and he’s actually…not bad? Though you’d probably know that if you follow (or occasionally creep) the New Zealand–born actor on Instagram, where he’s posted clips of him strumming alongside co-star Rob Raco and others.
