How much staggering awesomeness can one person achieve in a lifetime? As if being in the Only Band That Mattered wasn’t enough, Paul Simonon revealed to the Guardian recently that he did jail time earlier this year after taking part in a Greenpeace raid on an oil rig off the coast of Greenland.

Not only that, but he was working undercover on the Greenpeace boat MV Esperanza at the time. Simonon was known to his oblivious crew mates as “Paul the assistant cook.”
