Australian hotel invites patrons to steal Banksy artwork

      Who hasn't secretly looked at a work of art and wondered--theoretically, of course--how hard it would be to walk off with it?

      The Mona Lisa, well, that would be a bit of a tough one. But how about an original Banksy? Turns out, that may be easier than you think.

      The Art Series Hotels, apparently so named because of the art adorning its rooms and hallways, has put an original $15,000 work of art by the British guerrilla artist on its walls, challenging anyone who rips it off to keep it.

      It's a little twist on Banksy's 2005 prank, in which he quietly placed his own subversive pieces in the Museum of Modern Art, Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Brooklyn Museum, and the American Museum of Natural History in New York.
