Interconnectedness, social justice, and peace are three major topics of an exhibit at Surrey’s City Centre Library next month.

Members of a local Buddhist group, Soka Gakkai International Association of Canada (SGI Canada), are bringing Seeds of Hope to the library (10350 University Drive, Surrey). According to a statement from SGI, the joint initiative between SGI and the Earth Charter International is one of SGI Canada’s grassroots activities “to convey the importance of individual action for community sustainability”.

The exhibit runs from September 7 to 14, and is based on a simple premise: “it starts with one”. According to SGI, Seeds of Hope aims to overcome powerlessness and show examples of how individuals and small groups have taken simple steps to create a more sustainable world.
