Decision-makers at the CRTC have finally agreed to develop national rules to protect cellphone users. But to do it right, they need to hear your cellphone horror story today. We at OpenMedia.ca have now launched a tool to let you tell your tale, at CellPhoneHorrorStory.ca.

I once went onto a website that claimed to give you your IQ if you fill in a few questions. One question was your cell phone number and then at the end it wanted me to pay to get the results , so of course I didn't do that and just ignored their texts coming in. BUT at the end of the month when I got my cellphone bill, there was $28 dollars added to my phone bill and when I phoned customer service and told them about the scam and how they were helping these people collecting money , they said there was nothing I could do and that on the next bill there was already a charge for $24 . I could stop the text from coming in but if I didn't pay, I would end up breaking my contract and possibly a collections company would go after me. I wonder how the phone company could allow this to be billed to my phone if I didn't give any permission ....
