Daryl Hannah calls tar sands "world's largest, most hideous environmental atrocity"

      The star of Wall Street and Roxanne was one of over 70 people arrested today (August 30) while taking place in a civil-disobedience action outside the White House.

      According to the Tar Sands Action website, 595 people have been arrested in the ongoing protest against the Alberta-to-Texas Keystone XL pipeline project.

      How soon we forget BP's Deepwater Horizon oil leak, the Aral Sea,the Grasberg Mine in West Papua or the Amazon Basin but even if you were to draw up a list of the world's ten worst sore environmental sore spots you would not be realistically able to enter a single Canadian location on it.

      Celebrities repeat whatever environmentalist told them too ... lucky privileged gilded-caged parrots ...
