Drink like a king with Game of Thrones–themed beer

Good news for all the Robert Baratheons out there. HBO and Brewery Ommengang are joining forces to create a line of brews inspired by the popular high-fantasy TV and book series.

Available just in time for the premiere of the show's third season (scheduled for March 31, 2013), the collection's first entry will be the Lannister-like Iron Throne Blonde Ale. 

Two more brews will follow, but fans of swigs and swords will have to be patient, as Ommegang brewmaster Phil Leinhart says the remaining brews will be based on ongoing themes and characters, and as such will be released with the advent of each upcoming season.

If you can't wait until then to start pounding the mead, though, there's always this Game of Thrones drinking game to keep you occupied.
