Guns N' Roses finally takes the stage for concert at Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver

GNR gets a warm reception after taking stage just past 11 p.m., kicking off with "Chinese Democracy". A swift transition into "Welcome To The Jungle" elicits hysterical screams from the audience.

Well, we've only been waiting for this moment for, oh, nine years now.

Kristi Alexandra is filing items of interest from the Guns N' Roses show at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver. Check out her full review on Sunday (December 18) at Straight.com.

Best concert I've been to!!!! The stage, lighting effects phenomenal, guitar playing over the top, Axl really catered to fans, very appreciative of fan support. Was at Prince last night which was awesome, but GNR topped his show with production

sorry but i do not appreciate when a ticket says 8 pm and the horrid sounding back up band starts at 9:20 and you know at that point mr ego himself, Axl wont be starting until 11 or so when he feels like making his presence known...We paid over $200 to sit around watching a bunch of old groupies walking around in their GNR T's and quite frankly its 3 hours of my life I wish I had spent home watching Jimmy Fallon host SNL

Were we at the same Concert? That was hands down the best Concert I have seen in years. Nearly 3 hours of non stop rock and roll..Axl has not missed a beat..This was one time the fans got more than their moneys worth.

Axl hasn't missed a beat and they put on a great show - blew our expectations. Great presentation, good sound and an all-around awesome show. Not a big fan of the opening band, Loaded, and only thing I can criticize is the late start. Then again, this was the latest concert ending that I've ever been too - they played until 2 AM!!! They were having fun on the stage and it was contagious and even came back on after the concert was well over to thank their fans. Great concert!

Well Sharon, Axl stated that they were to start at 10:30. It's been well reported throughout this tour that they take the stage at 11 pretty much every night. Also, it's been well reported that they do a solid 3 hour set. So, by what the papers/ Internet have been saying, g'n'r was accurate almost to the minute. Way to research something you bought into. Hey, wanna buy a used car? P.s.- get a bloody pvr. I just watched snl.

In the defense of starting late, everyone that can read or has ears knows that Axl has not come on stage on time once in the last 10 years, especially not on this tour. It doesn't excuse it, but it's pretty common knowledge. I know for a fact that people in production were still working when you were letting the dog out to pee this morning. It's part of doing business with the formerly great band called Guns n Roses.

Ticket stated 8 pm start time, so I casually killed time getting to the arena till about 8:45 so I could find my seat to the BEST FUCKING CONCERT EVER!! Who the heck would ever think GNR would be starting at 8 pm, regardless of what a ticket says? Go watch a kids show at 8pm!

Sharon, you must not go to many gigs. A ticket always prints the time that the doors open. A band will never start right when the doors open because how the hell else would people get in on time to see them? Not only that, but when has Axl Rose ever been on time for anything?

Anyway, I wasn't at the gig, but I bet my mate that they'd start well past 10:00pm. Axl, you made me $100 richer. Cheers for that.

Anyone see a dark haired girl flash the camera for a long period of time with a tatty?
