Islands disappear off Enbridge map

SumOfUs and have launched a campaign against what they call Enbridge's "misleading ads".

The groups maintain that the pipeline company deleted 1,000 square kilometres of B.C. islands off its public videos and maps in Douglas Channel.

Enbridge is seeking approval for 1,177-kilometre pipelines that would take condensate from Kitimat to the Alberta tar sands, and bitumen from there to Kitimat, where it could be shipped on tankers to Asia.

The company hopes to transport 525,000 barrels of oil per day to Kitimat for export.

Looks fair to me. After all, it's not like anyone is going to run a ship straight into Gil Island or anything like that . . .

Note that the position of the tanker shown in the "Enbridge Version" indicates that it has run aground on Gribbell Island.

Since the other PR animation by Enbridge is based on a fantasy Utopian world, it only makes 'sense' to extend the delusion to all aspects of Northern Gateway. (sarcasm intended)

Hey the U.S. courts in their decision against Enbridge in the Kalamazoo River oil spill described Enbridge has having "a culture of deceit' -so who's surprised?

I see no difference between unwanted condos in DT Vancouver, and mega projects like this one... Big money will gets it's way. The public can point out the lunatic mentallity and all the reasons NOT to approve...but it will still be rammed down your throat! ...Flat out wrong.
