Lavish deco decadence: check out the new The Great Gatsby trailer

Flappers, roadsters, and lavish cocktail parties, all in lush 3-D: Baz Luhrmann has just released the trailer for his eye-candy-laden new adaptation of Scott F. Fitzgerald's decadent classic, and it looks like it might actually live up to its iconic source.

Leonardo Dicaprio plays the title character, Carey Mulligan is the bobbed Daisy Buchanan, and Tobey Maguire is narrator Nick Carraway.

Most surprising is the soundtrack for the trailer: no Jazz Age classics here. Think Jay-Z and Kayne West’s “No Church in the Wild" and Jack White’s cover of U2’s “Love is Blindness".

The film is set to open December 25.
