Smallville's Kristin Kreuk, Allison Mack to emcee Beyond Pink gala dinner

Smallville costars Kristen Kreuk and Allison Mack will be emcees at the gala dinner for the Young Women in Business's second annual Beyond Pink leadership conference.

Not only is Mack an actor, but she has also directed an episode of Smallville. That experience led to her opening a production company, Parvati Creative Inc., with Kreuk and Rose Bhura. Her company will focus on "human-centric films as seen through a female lens".

Kreuk graced our cover when she portrayed a Muslim woman in the 2007 Vic Sarin feature Partition, a drama set during the division of India and Pakistan in 1947.

Keynote speakers at the dinner will include Katie Dunsworth and Andrea Baxter of the Vancouver-based  Smart Cookies.

The dinner, to be held on November 14 (7 to 9:30 p.m.) at the Hyatt Regency Hotel (655 Burrard Street), will cap off the two-day conference designed for young women to participate in workshops, discussions, and networking. (This year's theme is "stand up and stand out".)

50 more tickets for the gala dinner were released (gala-only tickets are $100), but the deadline for buying them is today (November 6). They can be purchased at the Beyond Pink Eventbrite page.

Hopefully Mack and Kreuk's production company won't be used to recruit young ladies to the NXIVM cult they're in.

Too bad I couldn't have attended because the ticket price for the gala was so expensive. I found Kristin Kreuk and Allison Mack's website for Parvati.

I'm disappointed that both Kristin and Allison are affiliated with NXIVM. If their membership to it is bound in secrecy which one can conclude since they have been seen at various events associated with it and haven't denied involvement, how can someone really trust that any of their projects aren't related to recruitment for or indoctrinating the message of the group?

sure you're right, they can use their celebrity to recruit young women for NXIVM, this is a cult like organization, a little bit like scientology, people are in danger when they accept to be a member, they waste their money and identity in this shit, i'm so sad for Kristin Kreuk, she must to open up her eyes and quit this business!

her fans can deny she is in a cult, but Kristin Kreuk makes no secret about it. Her fellow cultmember took pictures of her at a recent cult in Albany with Allison Mack and posted it all over YouTube. Shows how loyal her fellow cultmembers are to her, right? Looks like they're using her fame to spread their reach.

Thank you for the link to Kristin Kreuk and Allison Mack production company. Hope Kristin Kreuk pays more attention to Canada's own Aboriginal women than traveling the globe. Seems like she and Allison Mack pick causes she think will help their celebrity status. There are missing and homeless women in their hometown of Vancouver. They are Aboriginals so they have focused on helping women of Mexico instead. Kristin Kreuk is very Hollywood now since Chun-Li.
