Video: The Enbridge ad spoof the Province didn't want you to see
According to Rafe Mair, the Province posted this spoof ad—created by Province cartoonist Dan Murphy—on its website on June 22, only to remove it a few hours later after a complaint from Enbridge.

I'm for the pipeline but the original advertisement was nauseating.

Wow, what a great parody. Shame the company didn't have a sense of humour... perhaps it was cutting just a bit too close to the bone.

I don't understand how anyone can be for this pipeline, especially with the current route. it may create some more jobs in the start but will destroy jobs in the long run, not to mention destroy a unique ecosystem around it.
Nice spoof though!

I prefer the idea of using our northern rail line to transport the oil to the coast.
We have a northern rail line, don't we?
Oops..oh yah.

I like Dan Murphy's version since it brings a measure of reality. The original applies to some fantasy Utopian world only. And, if Enbridge is operating with 'world class safety standards' the standards are far too low when you consider their oil spill history.

heard on CBC 1 yesterday that the newspaper pull the cartoon because Enbridge threatened to pull the million dollar ad contract with whom ever owned the Province paper and fire Dan Murphy. This is a good time not to buy the newspaper with no back bone!

I like the farting sound effects! Or was it diarrhea? sorry, I know its a bit early in the morning to be using those words. This commercial had me yelling at the TV, the remake is far better.

Everyday just in the Lower Mainland probably tens of Barrrels of Oil and other chemicals are released into the environment from Garages and other normal equipment related issues..all running into the Fraser or wherever....This Enbridge thing is simple hysterics.
