The Weeknd show in Vancouver begins with a creepy vibe

Music fans of all generations are being catered to tonight in Vancouver. Those who were raised in the '80s have Madonna at Rogers Arena, while those who went to high school in the '90s can check out Garbage at the Centre in Vancouver for Performing Arts.

For anyone who came of age postmillenium, there's no better place to be than the Weeknd's show—this judging by many young-looking fans currently packed into the dimly lit Pacific Coliseum.

The dress code is more or less the same as what you'd expect to see at a Granville Street club, while the black balloons strewn across the floor give the room the vibe of an extremely morbid New Year's Eve party.

Adding to the creepy mood is the Weeknd himself, who just opened with "Lonely Star".

Alex Hudson is filing items of interest from the Weeknd's show at the Pacific Coliseum. Watch for his full review on Sunday (September 30).
